Here are Three Things You Should Definitely Do While in Berlin.

The city of Berlin is known to many as the last stand of the Third Reich during World War 2. It was a city that was engulfed in a lot of conflict, and controversy but has now progressed and moved past its history, without forgetting it of course. This rich and diverse city is also the capital of Germany, and being that capital and being the source of a ton of history, it has gotten s reputation as one of the most confusing cities to visit. As people would often find themselves lost or stuck in one place throughout days because of how big the city is.

So to help cope with that, we made a very short list of the top three things you should definitely do while you’re staying in Berlin! This will help you from getting lost or stuck and on the move to find the best that Berlin has to offer; starting with!

The Brandenburg Gate.

From its name itself, the Brandenburg Gate is a gate that separated East and West Berlin. And it’s pretty huge for a gate if I do say so myself. It’s been around since the 18th century and absolutely the first thing you have to visit while staying in Germany. It’s also one of the simplest and fastest places to go to! It is a historical spot that will make you appreciate just how far the city has gone from its past, how beautiful it is at its present, and the potential this uber-cool city has for the future!

So while you’re in town, try to drop by and snap a few pictures to show off to your friends. Trust me, it’s a lot bigger than what you see in the pictures which makes it even more worth it to see the gate in person!

Art in Museum Island.

That is correct, there is a place in Berlin dedicated to just museums, and it is absolutely gorgeous! It is a great way to spend a day, appreciating all of the local art as well as international pieces placed among the different museums. It is an island where you really must visit and spend a day in, in order to really take the scope of it all. To get there, you’ll need to buy a 3-day museum pass and is a must if you really want to see the best that the island has to offer.

Museums in this place include the Pergamon Museum which is the most visited museum in Europe, the Bode museum where sculptures and Byzantine art is the spectacle, Neues museum if you’re into Egyptian Art, Altes museum for all of those fans of the Greek and Roman art, and Alte Nationalgalerie which is a Natural Art Gallery with Neoclassical, Romantic and early Modernist artwork. And these are just a few of the museums there!

The Park Inn Hotel.

Now, if you’re a thrill-seeker, then heading to the Park Inn Hotel is definitely the place for you to go. And even if you aren’t one, this is still a great hotel to go to, especially thanks to the one activity that you won’t be able to do anywhere else. I’m talking about jumping from the top of the Park Inn Hotel roof.

Yes, for a small price, you can jump the roof of the hotel and do what they call, base flying. It’s an extremely fun activity that should get anybody interested and excited to go really! So if you’re around, then this is one stop you definitely shouldn’t miss.

Conclusion.

Wonderful Sights You Will See Driving to Colorado

When you are driving to Colorado, you may want to consider stopping a few times because of all the sights to see on the way. It is going to be a long road trip so you may as well make a few stops for a bathroom break and a few pictures at some tourist sites. Here are a few sights you will see driving to Colorado:

UFO House

Located in Genesee Mountain, this house is named after the architecture who got his hands dirty with this excellent masterpiece. One look at this house and you are going to be led to believe that there are aliens living inside it. Of course, there is no such thing as aliens as the person who requested to have this house built just thinks there is life out there in space.

Big Hot Dog

The Coney Island Diner sure made a good impression on social media enthusiasts. Their huge hot dog can attract a large number of tourists anytime due to how big it is. When you get real close to it, you are going to think that it is a real hot dog. Better resist the urge of eating it and just go inside the restaurant and have something much smaller. After all, the restaurants serves some fine food so better get your appetite ready as you are going to be in for a great meal while sharing awesome stories with your friend.

Dragon Castle

The castle was built by none other than a bloke named James Bishop back in the day. He sure had quite an imagination as he thought he was living int he Medieval era. Located at Westcliffe, the castle even has a drawbridge and you can tell Bishop preferred to have lived in the Medieval times even though it may be kind of a hassle to wear all those knight suits all the time. It will make you feel hot inside.

Wooden Gas Station

Built almost a century ago, it is amazing how this wooden gas station can withstand the test of time and natural disasters that come its way. Located in Lamar, the structure was odd enough to earn a spot in Ripley’s Believe it or Not. It is expected to last several more decades as there are people committed to making it withstand the tests of time. When that happens, you know you have done a great job with it.

Conclusion

There are numerous sights to stop by on your way to Colorado to either get gas or something to eat. There is no need to go all the way and not stop as your butt may hurt from all that driving. Besides, you will need to pee one way or the other in a long road trip even if you fall asleep. There will be some points when you will feel that it would be time to turn back. The point is it would be better to just stay away and make the most out of the entire road trip.

10 Hidden Locations That are Bucket List Worthy

There is a place in Oregon that mother nature has created, and it is mesmerizing to watch.

This place is called Thor’s Well, and it looks like a bottomless sinkhole bordering the shore of the Pacific Ocean. It’s the kind of spot where you do not want to get too close but at the same time, you can’t seem to stay away from it either. It is located a few miles south of Yachats, Oregon near Cape Perpetua. The hole was named after the Romanian God “Norse” who was the “God of Thunder.”

Nature creates these amazing places for us to see all the time. This one was created after a sea cave collapsed underwater and it is now a tourist attraction with the display of wild suctioned waters.

The Hole

When the ocean is in high tide, the water fills up from the bottom, splashes upward, and then it seems to drain back down the hole all in one wave. It is truly hypnotizing. The hole was measured to be about 20 feet deep, so it is not a bottomless pit, but it sure does look that way from the top.

There is no specific season or time that you should go to see the water in action. But to experience the full effect it is suggested that you check for high tides and go an hour before they begin. The high tides are what makes the water in the hole look so dramatic and unbelievable.

Getting there

Getting to Thor’s Well is rather easy. It is about three miles from Cape Perpetua visiting center and it is suggested to park at the Cooks Chasm pull out. From there you can take the small hike down to Thor’s Hole.

You don’t have to hike down if you don’t want to, but there is a scenic trail you can follow. The views are amazing and when you’re closer, you get to experience the full effect.

Bonus Sites

When visiting this amazing site, two bonus locations are nearby and worth doing making the extra walking for. They are both within walking distance of each other and they are the Devil’s Churn and the Spouting Horn.

Devils Churn is about half a mile away and from Thor’s Well. It is a thin indention that comes into the shore from the Pacific Ocean. It has a small trail that you can walk down the side to get a better view of the water splashing against the huge rocks.

Spouting horn is also about a minute away from Thor’s Well. The pressure of the waves and air builds up inside of the rock until it explodes out through the top. It is like when a whale comes up for air and spouts all the water out of the top of its head. It does the same thing but only comes from this one rock and it is amazing to watch.

For all three locations, I would go during high tide and watch nature at its finest.
